Timothy Choi is a SoCal native, having grown up in Alhambra, CA, he attended Oneonta Montessori during his elementary school years, eventually moving on to Golden Valley Charter High School in Ventura, CA.
He graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a degree in Computer Science. For the past decade, he has sharpened his analytical skills through two of his passions — coding and chess.
He has reached the 99% percentile in chess with a global ranking of #269,972, which is the top 1% out of 200 million users worldwide (as of August 2025).
